Household pets come in a variety of forms and require different
levels of care. Fish are usually quite small, weighing in at just
mere ounces – if that! Pet fish are very easy to care for overall;
the most important elements of care are feeding and the cleanliness
of their ecosystem. Dogs are generally of a more substantial mass,
although different breeds vary greatly both in size and appearance –
from hairless yip-yaps to the St. Bernard. They are moderately easy
to care for with daily food, water, and exercise being the most
critical components. The normal bird weighs only a pound or maybe two
and comes in a rainbow of colors. Caged birds require probably the
greatest care and attention as their immune systems can be quite
delicate. Household pets come in many shapes and sizes and bring with
them various levels of responsibility for the owners.
