While there are many common trees in the world, there
are also trees that stand out from the rest due to their unique
features. For example, a Giant Sequoia by the name of General Sherman
is currently the largest tree in the world weighing in at over 6,000
tons. The Circus Trees of bean farmer Axel Erlandson are probably the
oddest looking trees because he shaped them into baskets, arches,
ladders, and more! Something like the Tree of Tenere can also stick
out (pardon the pun) because of its location in the Sahara over 250
miles from a fellow tree. After bing hollowed out by a lightning
strike, the Chene-Chapelle (Chapel-Oak) of Allouville-Bellefosse,
France was converted into a chapel! A bristle-cone pine tree in the
mountains of California, named Methuselah, is the oldest living tree
known to man at 4,838 years old. Every tree has a story to tell, but
some contain more captivating narratives than others.
